History

Since our establishment in 1925 (Taisho 14), Kansai Tube has been committed to corporate management that adheres to the fundamentals. We have been specializing in the manufacturing of tube containers for 93 years.

  • Taisho

    • 1925

      Established as Nihon Suzu Kogyo Co., Ltd. in Obase Higashinocho in the Higashi-ku of Osaka City.
      Started the manufacture of tin and lead tubes
  • Showa

    • 1930

      Relocated to Fusecho in the Nakakawachi-gun of Osaka (now Arakawa Town in Higashi Osaka)
    • 1936

      Started the manufacture of aluminum tubes
    • 1942

      Changed the company name from Nihon Suzu Kogyo Co., Ltd. to Kansai Keikinzoku Tube Co., Ltd.
    • 1946

      Changed the company name from Kansai Keikinzoku Tube Co., Ltd. to Kansai Tube Co., Ltd.
    • 1955

      Finished developing inner coating technology, and switched to the full-scale manufacture of aluminum tubes
    • 1960

      Finished developing aluminum tube sealing coating technology
    • 1973

      Relocated the Kansai Tube Co., Ltd. head office and factory to 5-8, Tamagushicho-higashi 3-chome, Higashi-Osaka City
    • 1974

      Established Matec Co., Ltd. as a sales company of the Machinery and Manufacturing Department
    • 1977

      Opened the Tokyo Office
    • 1978

      Started the manufacture and sale of plastic molded parts
    • 1984

      Started the manufacture and sale of laminate tubes
      Built a second business office in front of the head office factory
  • Heisei

    • 1990

      Acquired a patent for the Membrane Tube, the world’s first closed-type laminate tube
    • 1993

      Added extensions to the Kansai Tube Co., Ltd. head office factory
    • 2002

      Acquired ISO 9001:2000 Certification
    • 2003

      Developed the aluminum Emboss Tube, and started its manufacture and sale
      Received the Japan Packaging Contest Pharmaceutical and Medical Packaging Award for the Emboss Tube
    • 2011

      Built the third factory next to the head office factory
    • 2013

      Started using solar power
      Received the Japan Packaging Contest Technical Packaging Award for the Digital Print Tube
    • 2016

      Recipient of the 50th Good Company Award Corporate Excellence Prize

      Acquired “KENKO Investment for Health(KIH) for 2024” Certification
