Roller Base Plate Structure and Uses

  • A Schwihag AG-manufactured roller cassette can be easily attached in its complete form to a base plate.
  • The base plate is designed and manufactured by Kanto Bunkiki.
  • The roller height is adjustable, so base plates for either one or two rollers can be used in combination.

Base Plate Structure

  • Roller cassettes can easily be attached.
  • The positioning of roller cassettes can be adjusted in the gauge direction.

Base Plate Types

  • Two types for 50 kgN rails and 60 kg rails.

  • Individual rollers can make the tongue rails rise up and switch smoothly.
  • Reduces the switch force by around 40% compared to existing base plates. (Based on internal switch force tests)
  • Adjustable positioning can maintain roller function during high and low displacements and changes along the track.
  • Built to maintain adequate roller function even at sites with plenty of dust.
